The Missions and Outreach Team plans both service and outreach activities for Faith church.  For our mission projects, we do a range of activities including providing brunch for Churches United, our wonderful food pantry every two weeks, a Christmas box project for under privileged children, Feed My Starving Children food packing event, raising funds for the Solar Oven Partners, and community service, and other projects as our team approves.

 Our Committee also plans social events for the church including events for children, such as: the fall pumpkin patch event, movies, bowling, Red Hawks baseball games, and other outreach events throughout the year. The Missions and Outreach team enjoys giving people the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. 

Invite your friends to join us for this falls concert, in Island Park. This is a fun evening out for families to enjoy wonderful music provided by The Big House Band. They will play their favorite tunes and we will provide root beer floats for everyone attending, and those who are just walking by. Bring you lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy an evening in the

Is English your second or third language? Faith UMC has a place for you. The class is very casual – no planned agenda – just conversation about what might be happening in the students/leaders lives or what is happening at church, which is often not a custom of the student’s community/country. We try to help with our customs, our holidays, our idioms (which you use more than you would believe!) And the leaders learn a great deal about the customs, etc. of the attendees home countries. We have a lot of fun!

 We also have a few outings annually – a winter ice fishing/sledding day at the lake – a summer outing to the lake to canoe, paddle board, row boat, paddle boat , swim and enjoy the sun – a fall outing to visit a home in Fargo, these people often leave the country without ever going in an American home – and sometimes a Christmas/Thanksgiving gathering in a local home. We have also had baby showers, when needed. We generally have fun, invite the attendees to visit the church for special occasions, and to local entertainment like the Fargo Street Fair.

Faith Food Pantry cares for people who are food insecure, no matter what the reason might be. We are committed to follow Jesus teachings to feed my sheep.

 We distributes food, provided by the Great Plans Food Bank, every second and fourth Friday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. This past year we have seen an increase in visits from families that have been averaging around 150 families per distribution.  We have also seen a decrease in food items so are grateful to have grant money and donations to use to purchase food items and supplement our orders.  We try to provide 50 pounds of food to families per visit.  

 Deb Laber serves as the  coordinator with the help of Cynthia Mohr in distribution and Roger Moen in the warehouse.  We have 20 to 25 great volunteers who help us between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm.  We have volunteers from our church, Faith and also from other churches and businesses throughout our community.

 Few things matter as much as healthy food and clean water. Solar Oven Partners has empowered families through solar cooking and water pasteurization since the year 2000. We do this with the help of our many partners: people like you, faith communities like yours.
